Let eligible guests pay with Apple Pay and Google Pay through a connected Global Payments checkout experience. Reduce friction and increase conversion with a single-tap payment journey.

Our smart detection system identifies Safari users on Apple devices automatically. When a match is found, the Apple Pay button is prioritized, allowing for biometric authentication that bypasses traditional form-filling.
Only show when eligibility is verified.
Seamless biometric authorization.
Harness the power of the Global Payments workflow to facilitate Google Pay on any storefront. Secure, tokenized payment information flows directly to your merchant account with minimal latency.

Security starts with trust. We ensure every domain requesting a payment session is cryptographically verified and allow-listed on the Apple and Google merchant portals.

Vertex supports Apple Pay and Google Pay through a connected Global Payments checkout experience, so an eligible guest can finish an order in a single tap instead of typing card details into a form. Wallet payment is enabled for eligible accounts, which means what a guest actually sees at your storefront depends on their device and browser as well as on how your account is configured.
Eligibility is checked before anything is shown. Smart detection identifies Safari users on Apple devices automatically and prioritizes the Apple Pay button when a match is found, while the Google Pay flow is optimized for the Chrome and Android ecosystems. The button only surfaces once eligibility has been verified, so guests on devices that cannot complete a wallet payment see your standard checkout instead of an option that would fail.
Four steps. The guest reviews the order in the cart and selects a digital wallet; the system verifies wallet availability and domain integrity; a biometric prompt appears on the guest's own secure device for authorization; and the payment is approved in real time with the order routed onward. Because authorization happens on the guest's device rather than on your POS, nobody on your side handles the credential.
A payment session is only accepted from a domain you have proved you control. Vertex cryptographically verifies every domain requesting a session and white-lists it on the Apple and Google merchant portals before wallet payments run there. The Merchant Storefronts dashboard lists each URL with its protocol, its status — Verified, Pending or Failed — and when it was last checked, so a storefront still served over plain HTTP is flagged as unsafe before a guest ever reaches it.
Not through your servers. Sensitive card data is replaced by a unique merchant token for every transaction, and credentials stay end-to-end encrypted from the secure element on the guest's device through to the processing bank, with the Global Payments API authorizing the payment and settling it to your merchant account. The underlying provider workflow is described as PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant infrastructure, which is designed to support your own PCI-DSS obligations and limit the card data your systems ever touch — it is not a certification of your business. Your compliance status remains a matter for you, your payment provider and your acquirer.
Role-based access decides that. Controls are granular enough to separate the people who can add a storefront and manage domain certificates from the people who only need to view wallet analytics, so certificate management does not have to sit with everyone who reads the numbers. New domains are registered from the same Merchant Storefronts screen and go through the same verification check as the rest.
